John Jelly formed Jelly Associates in December of 1994 following a direct request from a major ‘PLC’ client in the food industry to start an independent practice.

Jelly Associates act as ‘Employers Agent’, ‘Quantity Surveyor’ and ‘Project Manager’, looking after new build works as well as both large and small extensions to existing facilities. 

Appreciating the difficulties and working with Contractors to overcome those difficulties in carrying out construction works within factories without disruption to production has been a particular area where Jelly Associates have played an active and successful role in recent years. 

Carrying out building works whilst maintaining the Client’s operations, particularly in the food industry where the highest level of hygiene standards must be maintained has presented a challenge which Jelly Associates have played a major part in meeting. This has been achieved by working in partnership with the Client and other professional consultants in the industry. 

Jelly Associates have further developed their expertise to progress a programme of installing automatic sprinkler protection and passive fire compartmentation within food factories throughout the UK. The benefits of protecting the capital investment have been advantageous to food companies and insurers alike.
